Use of alcohol lamp:

(1) light the alcohol lamp from the side with a match. Do not directly light another alcohol lamp with a burning alcohol lamp;  

(2) the amount of alcohol in the alcohol lamp shall not exceed 2 / 3 of the lamp body and shall not be less than 1 / 4.

(3) the alcohol lamp shall be put out with the cap, and shall not be blown out.

(4) the flame of alcohol lamp is divided into three layers: external flame, internal flame and flame core. When heating, use the outer flame.

(5) if the alcohol lamp is accidentally overturned when burning, and the alcohol is burning on the test bench, it shall be covered with sand or put out the flame with a wet cloth in time, and it shall not be washed with water.

Safety Guide

Because alcohol is volatile and flammable, you must pay attention to safety when using alcohol lamp. In case the spilled alcohol burns outside the lamp, put it out with a wet cloth or sand.
